#100
so...i said that i would make post #100 my last post of the schoolyear, but it didn't happen that way. looks like it is my summer post. so what's happening this summer? i'll give you the highlights, although most people reading this probably know the highlights already. the first week i just rested. the second week i participated in a writing workshop for teachers--it was great! that was at a school near our house so i got to ride my bike there every day. very nice.
then....we planned our wedding. and then we had our wedding--which was AMAZING!!!! a lot of people did so much to help and everyone came from all over the place and it felt totally perfect. whoo hoo!
jesse and i spent a week in tahoe. we hiked, cooked, read about five books each, played "guitar hero" on Wii, swam, kayaked, got massages, picnicked, and saw Richard III done in an amphitheatre on the Lake by the Tahoe Shakespeare Company. it was an awesome trip!
school begins tomorrow. i didn't do any schoolwork all weekend--i'm pretty proud of myself. i did a ton of work last week so i felt okay about it. i'll probably get to school and realize there was something i was supposed to do over the weekend, but it can't be that important or i would have done something to make sure i didn't forget it.
today i planned the dinner menus for the whole week and grocery shopped for them. that's our new goal--to not have to go to the grocery store every night before making dinner. i also made a squash and ground turkey lasagna tonight and we will have enough for lunches this week. that will be nice!
i guess i'm ready for school. i feel like when the kids arrive, i will be ready and "on." i'm going to get my beauty rest so i have lots of energy for tomorrow. more soon.
